Galaxy Farmer

Load up your workerbot onto your spaceship and blast across the galaxy to a far away planet.  unload the workerbots to begin creating harvestable crops on the planet.

Harvest the planets that have crops ready and load them into your cargo hold.  Deliver them back to the home farm and process them (if needed) to create a variety of items needed by the population.

You’re one slick farmer, and you know how to keep representatives happy! Keeping in thei rgood books provides in game buffs to the player.  But be wary, as pirates can take your ‘space bae’ hostage meaning you have to….

Launch a mission to free the representative to get the planet operating as normal again.  Fly a raid through pirate defences sliding cards to reveal enemy traps until you finally complete the rescue.  Respectful credit to AJ Porfirio of Van Ryder Games for the highly exciting mechanism used in this part of the game.

Players can pick their crew from available Captains and 1st Mates.  Captains manage the health of the crew and 1st Mates manage the health of the ships shield system. There is also a fleet of waiting ships to be controlled.  Will you take a classic that has seen a lot of action and but moves slow, or a sleek new ship with superfast movement, but restricted firepower.  Maybe the right crew members can make up for any loss in ability?

Events are drawn each turn to see what is happening across the huge vastness of the galaxy.  Are pirates moving in to attack a planet?  Will there be a bounty crop harvest?  Will a pandemic destroy crops and prohibit movement through that space?

The population of Earth needs the resources you’re growing. Get them back to the Earth as soon as possible and fulfill the awaiting orders before they time out. Timing out… That’s bad for you!

Whilst combat is decided by die rolling, there are mitigation factors that allow you to offset a bad roll.  Check out the abililties of the spaceship’s weapons systems.  Adding workerbots can improve the chances, so can certain crew members.
